The season of Lent would not be complete without Lenten Hot Cross Buns. This sweet roll is a “must-have” for all Christians during Lent. You don’t need a calendar to figure out when Lent begins. Bakeries start making Easter hot cross buns available on Ash Wednesday. And they continue to do so during the Lenten season until Easter arrives.
Most people quickly grab a bun or two early in the season. While Lent is a time for giving up things you like, this is one thing that Christians can eat and enjoy. Most likely, you only have it during the long Lenten season.
