We went all the way to the top of Mount Crumpit and talked to the grumpy curmudgeon himself. And, we even had a word with his dog Max. Neither were yapping. Then, we traveled through the streets of Whovillle. We finally unearthed this Grinchmas Cookie recipe and are ecstatic to share it with you. And, all we had to do to get it, was to sing “Welcome Christmas: (Ya Who Do Re).

Grinchmas Cookies Ingredients
Here are the secret ingredients for the Grinchmas Cookie recipe:
2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
Twenty drops of green food coloring. Or, ten drops of yellow food coloring, and 8 – 9 drops of red food coloring.
1 12-ounce package Christmas M&Ms
Directions How to Make Grinchmas Cookies
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until it is light and fluffy.
- Next, beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- In a second bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Then blend the dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture.
- Add twenty drops of green food coloring. Then, mix together well.
- If you want a lighter green, like the color of the Grinch, use 10 drops of yellow and 8 – 9 drops of red food coloring. You may need to experiment with the ratio to get the desired light green color.
- Fold in Christmas M&Ms.
- Drop heaping teaspoonfuls of cookie dough onto ungreased sheets. It should make about 48 cookies.
- Then, place the cookies into the oven and bake them for 10 – 12 minutes. The cookies are done when the edges are slightly browned. Do not over-bake them.
- Allow the cookies to cool for a minute or two.
- Then, place them onto a wire rack to completely cool.
- Store the cookies in an air-tight container. They can also be frozen.
