We did not find the originator of this special day. Nor, did we find any factual information. We find it strange, that the creator of this day has “forgotten” to do the necessary documentation.

We did find organizations, mayors, and other officials who have proclaimed a “Forget Me Not Day”. They were declared for a wide range of reasons and were celebrated, largely as a one-time event, on many different dates.

We did not find any documentation confirming this to be a “National” day. We found no congressional records or presidential proclamation.
