When is International Yoga Day? This holiday is always celebrated on June 21
Today is International Yoga Day, as declared by the United Nations. This June 21 holiday encourages us to join the millions of people who already know the benefits of this ancient exercise. Yoga certainly has proved its worth and value over eons of time. Yoga originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Now that’s staying power!
Yoga is a combination of mental, physical, and spiritual exercise. It helps to relax you and to lower blood pressure. I’m all for that!
Celebrating this day is easy… just put your yoga mat down on the floor, and begin your exercise.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoted International Yoga Day at the United Nations General Assembly. On December 11, 2014, The United Nations declared June 21 as International Yoga Day. This date is the longest day of the year and holds special significance in many cultures, especially in India where it was created.
