Gumdrop Cookie Ingredients
1 cup Shortening
1 cup Granulated Sugar
1 cup shredded Coconut
2 cups uncooked Oatmeal
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 Eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 lb. Gumdrops, cut into small pieces and floured
How to Make Gumdrop Cookies Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs.
In a separate bowl, mix together all dry ingredients, except coconut, gumdrops, and oatmeal.
Mix dry ingredients into the batter.
Add coconut, gumdrops, and oatmeal.
Drop a teaspoonful of dough onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges of the cookie are brown.
Remove cookies and place them on a wire rack to cool.
