Cranberry Drop Cookie Recipe Ingredients
- 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped cranberries
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
Directions How to Make Cranberry Drop Cookie Recipe
- First, preheat the oven to 375° F.
- Next, grease two large cookie sheets.
- Then, cream the margarine and sugar in a large mixing bowl with a mixer at medium speed.
- Beat in the milk, egg, vanilla, and orange peel.
- Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture.
- Carefully fold in the cranberries. Do not use a mixer for this step.
- Drop the cookie batter, by the rounded teaspoonful, onto the cookie sheets.
- Space the cookies about two inches apart.
- Bake the cranberry drop cookies in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Lastly, allow them to cool on a cooling rack before storing.
Storage Tip: Because these are very soft cookies, store them in a single layer. Or, place wax paper between layers.
