History and Origin of Chocolate Mint Day
Our research did not find the creator or the origin of this day. It was most likely started by a candy confectioner or an ice cream company.
We’ve researched this holiday twice. During the original study, all references to this holiday referred to it as Chocolate Mint Day. Beginning in the middle 2010s, some internet websites started to call this National Chocolate Mint Day. There is no evidence to suggest that this is truly a “National” day, which requires an act of congress. We found no congressional records or presidential proclamation about this special day.
