History and Origin of National Water Balloon Day:
National Water Balloon Day was created in 2019. The town of
Newmarket, New Hampshire created this day as a national holiday.
While a town government declared this to be a "National" day, we did not find any documentation confirming this to be a true "National" day. We found no congressional records or presidential proclamation. However, we won't nitpick on the details. Instead, we will cool off today with a water balloon war.
