1 Tablespoon peanut or vegetable oil
1 pound boneless chicken
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
2 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger
1 Tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
2 cups cooked rice

Cut boneless chicken into 1-inch strips.
Heat a wok, adding peanut or vegetable oil. Add chicken and cook for 8-10 minutes, until cooked.
In a bowl, mix together well, all remaining ingredients, except sesame seeds.
Pour sauce over the chicken.
Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens.
Sprinkle in sesame seeds.

Preheat oven to 400° F.
Use a sharp knife to cut an “X” into the shell of each chestnut. It is important to pierce the shell, or the chestnuts can explode while roasting.
Place chestnuts in a shallow pan in a single layer.
Place a little water in the bottom of the pan.
For a buttery taste, drizzle melted butter over the tops of the chestnuts.
Roast chestnuts in the oven for 25 minutes.

Pumpkin Mint Ingredients
1/4 cup milk
4 tsp. butter
3 1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar
2 drops oil of peppermint
Green, red, and yellow food colorings
How to Make Pumpkin Mints Directions
In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter, stirring frequently until the butter has melted.
Remove from heat.
Add the confectioner’s sugar and mix thoroughly.
Mix in the oil of peppermint.
As soon as it is cool enough to work with, knead with your hands until the fondant is smooth.
Take about 1/6 of the fondant, and add green food coloring. Knead to mix color evenly.
Cover with a damp cheesecloth, to prevent drying.
To the remaining fondant, add enough yellow and red food coloring to make it an orange pumpkin color. Cover with damp cheesecloth.
Working with a small amount of the orange-colored fondant at a time, roll into small balls in the palms of your hands.
Using a toothpick, make grooves in the fondant ball, to resemble the “ribs” in a pumpkin.
Roll a small piece of the green fondant in thin cylinders and cut it into short stem-like pieces.

12 ounces of any flavor of Chex cereal or Crispix
1/2 cup butter, margarine, or oleo.
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
12-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips.

This is a very old Pineapple Upside Down cake recipe. It is very sweet and very good! It doesn’t take long to put together, either. Using this same recipe, you can easily make mini-pineapple upside down cakes.
To make mini-pineapple upside down cakes, simply use a mini-Bundt cake sheet. If you’ve never seen one before, it’s like a cookie sheet with the impression of a dozen mini-bundt pans. Assemble the same way as instructed below but into the mini-bundt pans on the sheet. It produces attractive individual servings. See the picture above.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Ingredients
1 package yellow cake mix
1 box dark brown sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
1 can pineapple rings
8-ounce jar of maraschino cherries
How to Make Pineapple Upside Down Cake Directions
Grease a large glass baking dish.
Press brown sugar onto the bottom of the baking dish.
Drain pineapple rings and cherries.
Layer the pineapple on top of the brown sugar.
Add the cherries on top of the pineapple, in the center of the rings, and around the outsides.
Prepare the cake mix, as directed on the cake mix box.
Pour the batter into the baking dish.
Bake according to the cake mix directions.
Test for doneness with a toothpick.
Let cool slightly and turn upside down onto a large platter. The brown sugar will then be on top.

Pfeffernusse Cookie Ingredients
2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground mace
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped candied citron
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
How to Pfeffernusse Cookie Directions
Mix together in a bowl the dry ingredients, except sugar. Set aside.
In a second bowl, beat eggs lightly.
Beat in sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Stir in dry ingredients.
Mix in citron and lemon rind.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, one inch apart.
Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate overnight.
Bake in the oven preheated set to 350° F.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Transfer cookies to a wire rack and allow them to cool.

Pepperoni Bread Ingredients
1 loaf frozen bread dough
1 stick pepperoni, peeled and sliced thinly
4 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 egg
1 teaspoon parsley
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt,1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 oz. mushrooms, sliced (optional)
Sesame seeds
How to Make Pepperoni Bread Directions
Thaw bread dough according to package directions.
Place the dough in a bowl and cover it with a clean towel or plastic wrap.
Allow the dough to rise.
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Spray cooking oil on a cookie sheet.
Spread dough out almost to the edges of the cookie sheet.
Mix together the egg and all seasonings except the sesame seeds.
Spread 1/2 of this mixture on the bread dough.
Place a two-row layer of pepperoni down the center of the bread dough.
Add sliced mushrooms(optional).
Add mozzarella cheese.
Pull up the sides of the bread, and crimp or pinch them together.
Turn the crimped side over so it is on the bottom. Do this carefully, as the crimping can open up.
Spread the remaining egg mixture on top of the dough.
Generously sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Bake at 375° F for 25 minutes.
Serving the bread hot is best. Pepperoni bread is also good cold.

1 pound Waffle Pretzels
1 bag of Hershey’s Peppermint Kisses
How to Make Candy Cane Kisses Pretzel Sandwich Directions
Preheat oven to 250° F.
Line an ungreased cookie sheet with waffle pretzels, leaving a little space between each.
Unwrap the Peppermint Kisses.
