Lemon Lime Jello Cake Ingredients
1 package lemon cake mix
1 large package of lime jello
Whipped topping
Candy Sprinkles
Directions How to Make Lemon Lime Jello Cake
Bake the cake in a 9-by-13-inch pan according to the directions on the box.
Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool for 15-20 minutes.
While the cake is cooling, mix the jello according to the directions, and allow it to cool. But, do not chill.
Use a meat fork or chopsticks to poke holes into the cake, every 1/2 inch. Holes should go all the way through to the bottom of the pan.
Pour cooled jello on top of the cake. The jello will seep into the cake through the holes.
Place the cake into the refrigerator for 3-4 hours so the jello will set.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and top it with whipped topping.
Sprinkle candy sprinkles over the topping.
Serve cool.
Kitchen Cleaning Tip
The metal grate behind your refrigerator is called a “condenser”. It removes heat from inside your refrigerator. Most of us never think to clean it. However, over time it gets heavily coated with dust and grime. This reduces the efficiency of the refrigerator and can even be a fire hazard. Clean it at least once a year.
First, roll the refrigerator away from the wall. Be especially careful not to damage the water line to the ice maker (if you have one). Then, use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust, dirt, and grime. Also, you can clean up the floor underneath where the refrigerator stands.
