Observations for Today’s Holiday: I was just saying to a couple of myselves that this holiday will be a lot of fun. They all agreed.
How Many Personalities?
A person with this disorder can have as few as two, and as many as 100 personalities. Oh my!! How can you keep track of them all!?
The other day, I was just telling a few of myselves that this is amazing. A person with multiple personalities would have to take a vote every time they had to make a decision.
How to Celebrate Multiple Personality Day
It is very easy and fun to enjoy this holiday:
- Have a conversation with yourself or yourselves.
- Try to identify how many of you are in there.
- Majority rules. When making a decision, take a poll of all your personalities.
- From a serious perspective, if you suspect someone you know has this disorder, encourage them to seek help.

Our research did not find the creator or the origin of this day. Perhaps, the creator assumed his other half would record it. This holiday was created before 2000.
Recently, some internet websites refer to it as National Multiple Personality Day. When it was first created, the word “national” was not in the title. We found no documentation in congressional records to confirm that this is truly a national day. Nor, did we find a presidential proclamation.
