Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

This recipe is very popular for kids and teens.

Yield: 4 to 5 dozen

Peanut Butter Cookie Ingredients:

• 1 cup peanut butter

• 1 cup shortening

• 1 cup granulated sugar

• 1 cup brown sugar

• 2 eggs

• 2 1/2 cups flour

• 1 teaspoon vanilla

• 1/2 teaspoons salt

• 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

How to make Peanut Butter Cookies:

1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.

2. Beat shortening, peanut butter, eggs and vanilla in a bowl until creamy.

3. Gradually add sugars, beating well after each addition.

4. Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl.

5. Slowly add dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture in the first bowl, mixing well.

6. Shape dough into 1" diameter balls.

7. Place cookie balls on an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing about 2" apart.

8. Flatten cookies.

9. Criss-cross cookie with a fork, if desired.

10. Bake 10 to 15 minutes.
