Mince Meat Pie Recipe

Mince Meat pie is an old fashioned recipe. Many people will fondly remember grandma making it. I do!

Yield: 6 to 9 servings

From the Kitchen of: Grandma


Mince Meat Pie Ingredients:

  • Pie Crust for two 9-inch pies (Grandma would make this from scratch)

  • 2 cups (or 28 ounce can) mincemeat

  • 1 cup tart apples, peeled, cored, coarsely chopped

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice


How to make Mince Meat Pie:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 450 degrees.

  2. Mix mincemeat, apples and lemon juice in a bowl.

  3. Line pie pastry in a 9 inch pie pan.

  4. Pour mixture into the pie.

  5. Cover with top crust.

  6. Seal and crimp edges.

  7. Cut slits in the top to vent.

  8. Cover edge of crust with aluminum foil to prevent over browning (remove in final 15 minutes of baking).

  9. Bake 40 to 45 minutes.

  10. Serve warm.

Suggestion: Top with whipped cream when serving.
