Lemon Lime Jello Cake Recipe
The guys in our family fight over the leftover slice of Jello Cake. Use this
cake for birthdays and special events at any time of the year. Be creative!
You can take the recipe and substitute with a wide variety of cake and jello
flavors.
Jello Cake Ingredients:
Jello Cake Directions:
-
Bake cake in a 9-by-13 inch pan, according to directions on the box.
-
Remove from oven and allow to cool for 15-20 minutes.
-
While cake is cooling, mix jello according to directions, and allow to cool.
But, do not chill.
-
Use a meat fork or chopsticks to poke holes into the cake, every 1/2 inch.
Holes should go all the way through to the bottom of the pan.
-
Pour cooled jello on top of the cake. The jello will seep into the cake through
the holes.
-
Place cake into the refrigerator for 3-4 hours, so the jello will set.
-
Remove from refrigerator and top with whipped topping.
-
Sprinkle candy sprinkles over topping.
-
Serve cool.
