Cinnamon Jumbles Cookie Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening, soft

1 cup sugar

1 egg

3/4 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

How to Make Cinnamon Jumbles Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.

  2. Mix shortening, egg, and sugar thoroughly.

  3. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla.

  4. Sift together flour, baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

  5. Add dry ingredients, mixing well.

  6. Chill dough.

  7. Drop dough onto a cookie sheet by teaspoon, 2 inches apart.

  8. Mix 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.

  9. Sprinkle onto cookies.

  10. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until set, but not brown.
