  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

  • 4 eggs

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt.

  • 1 cup milk

How to make Christmas Fudge Cake:

  1. Beat egg.

  2. In a saucepan, combine egg, unsweetened chocolate squares,1 cup sugar, and milk.

  3. Heat slowly, stirring frequently, until chocolate melts and mixture thickens.

  4. Remove from heat, set aside, allowing to cool to room temperature.

  5. In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup shortening.

  13. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes.

  14. Test for doneness with a toothpick.

  15. Remove from oven and place on wire racks to cool.

Frosting and Decorating:

  1. Add tinted mint flavored extract to your favorite frosting.
  2. After cakes have cooled, frost them, as you stack them on top of each other.
  3. Melt 2-3 squares of unsweetened chocolate with 2 teaspoons butter.
  4. Cool slightly, then dribble chocolate over frosting.
  5. Decorate the top with green and red Christmas candies.
