Depending upon the size of group, you may need to double this recipe.

Servings: 6

Baked Beans Ingredients:

  • Rinse and sort beans, removing any bad ones.

  • Put beans in a bowl, cover with water, and let soak overnight.

  • Drain beans and place beans in a saucepan, covering them water.

  • Cover the pot, and simmer for 1 hour until just tender.

  • Drain beans and place in a 2 quart casserole dish, reserving the water.

  • In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of reserved water, with remaining ingredients, and stir to mix together.

  • Pour mixture over beans and stir together.
