How to Celebrate Cuddle Up Day

It’s pretty obvious how to celebrate and participate in this warm and cozy holiday. Cuddling is the thing to do on this cold winter day and night. Cuddle up with someone or something.

You can:

  • Cuddle up in bed under the sheets.
  • Snuggle by the fireplace.
  • Cozy up together on the couch with a bowl of popcorn as you watch television.
  • First, travel to a warm tropical isle. Then, cuddle up on the beach as you watch the surf roll in.

History and Origin of Cuddle Up Day

We tracked the creation of this day back to 2011. However, our research did not discover the originator, nor the origin for Cuddle Up Day.

We did find “Cuddle Up Pillows” and “Cuddle Up Day Ecards in abundance. We even found Cuddle Up sheet music.

Originally, this holiday was titled “Cuddle Up” Day. A few years later, some internet websites began adding the word “National” to the title. We do not believe this was done by the unidentified creator. Also, we did not find any documentation confirming this to be a “National” day. And, we found no congressional records or presidential proclamation.
