About Santa Claus

Santa Claus is coming to Town! This is certainly music to a kid’s ears. And, that kid could be anywhere from one to ninety-two. No, that’s not just how the song goes. That’s how it is! Christmas brings out the kid in all of us. So all you good little boys and girls, take a few minutes out from decorating the tree and wrapping presents to enjoy a little time with Santa Claus and his World!

Santa Claus lies at the North Pole with his reindeer and elves. As you know, Santa’s reindeer fly him in his sleigh on Christmas Eve to the houses of good children all over the world. The elves meanwhile make the toys in Santa’s workshop. They work all year long. All work and no play would indeed make them dull elves. But, don’t worry they have lots of fun and games. Santa keeps his elves very happy, and well-fed, too!

Did you Know? Biologically, you would think all of Santa’s Reindeer are female. Male Reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter.  But kids, don’t worry. Santa uses a very special kind of reindeer found only at the North Pole. They keep their antlers until New Year’s.

Santa's Elves

The elves live with Santa Claus at the North Pole. Santa hires them to make the toys that he delivers to good children on Christmas Eve. By nature, they are short, jovial, and fun-loving creatures. Elves love to make toys. They sing and joke as they make them. While they work hard all year long, Santa makes sure they have plenty of time to play games and relax.

Santa’s Elves have a couple of other very important tasks. First, they help Santa to create his “Nice List” and the “Naughty List”. You don’t want to get on the Naughty List. Secondly, the elves watch children and report to Santa if a child is not being good. This allows him to revise the list, if need be. So, kid’s, you better not shout, you better not cry, I’m telling you why. Santa Claus is coming to town…. your town!

Santa's Reindeer

As everyone knows, Santa’s reindeer have a big job on Christmas Eve. The reindeer power the sleigh that he drives when he delivers the toys to all of the good children of the world. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer leads the way. On dark and foggy nights Rudolph’s nose shines brightly, allowing Santa to see where he is going. It is a difficult and exhausting job. So, the rest of the year, the reindeer remain at the North Pole to rest up and build up strength.
