Hungarian Dumplings Nokedli Recipe
Hungarian dumplings nokedli is best known, served with
Chicken Paprikash. It can be used with any
other recipe that uses sauce or a gravy.
The correct name, the correct spelling... The proper Hungarian
spelling(translated in English) is Dumplings Nokedli. It is also commonly
called noodles nokedli. That's what our family sometimes called, it even
though it is definitely not a noodle. It is important to note, that
"nokedeli" is an incorrect spelling.

Dumplings Nokedli Ingredients:
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cold water
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
How to make Dumplings Nokedli:
Start a big pot with water and salt.
While the water is heating, put all ingredients into a mixing bowl.
Mix into a stiff batter. You may need to adjust the amount of flour, up or
down a little.
Once the water has begun to boil, drop teaspoonsful of dough into the boiling
water. Some people like bigger dumplings, and use a Tablespoon.
Cook for 10 minutes.
Remove dumplings and rinse in cold water.
Just before serving, re-heat in hot water or the microwave.
